How does remote management of the screens work?

Content changes, tweaks to the look and troubleshooting are all handled remotely, with no need to send out a technician. When we still come on site, and what support looks like.

One of the great advantages of smart screens is remote management. Any content changes, technical adjustments or troubleshooting can be done without a physical visit to the school. That gives you the assurance that the screens stay up to date and fully working, without having to wait for a technician to arrive.

How remote management works

The screens are linked to a central management system. As soon as they have power and an internet connection, we can connect to them remotely at any time via a remote desktop.

The device detail in our management console: the status of the TV screen and the device, buttons for Turn off TV, Screenshot and More actions, and apps for remote management such as Files, Logs, Terminal, Backups, Configuration, Diagnostics and Firmware.
This is how our technician sees a device: they can turn the screen off or take a screenshot, and resolve problems remotely through the terminal, logs or diagnostics.

You can see the status of every device yourself in Studio too: whether the screen is on, when the device last checked in, which software version it’s running and how heavily it’s loaded. From the same place, a single selection assigns it a different scenario.

The Devices page in Studio with the panel for a corridor device open: the selected scenario, the status of the TV screen and the device, software version, uptime, disk usage and load (temperature, CPU, RAM).

What we can adjust remotely

  • Screen content — timetable changes, urgent announcements, information about events.
  • Graphic design and layout — when a school wants to customise the look.
  • Troubleshooting — when a screen freezes or needs a restart.
  • Software updates — regular improvements for optimal performance.

Thanks to remote management, a school can ask for a change or a fix at any time and the problem is resolved within minutes to hours, with no waiting for someone to come out.

When remote management isn’t enough

In most cases we resolve the problem remotely. But should a situation arise that requires hands-on work, we’re ready to come out and carry out the service in person.

When we come to the school in person:

  • when the screen or a connection is physically damaged,
  • when there are problems with the local network or power that can’t be handled remotely,
  • for larger system changes or expanding the installation.

Our goal is to make sure the screens work flawlessly every single day — whether through remote management or hands-on service on site.

Carefree maintenance and support

  • Minimal hassle for the school — remote changes are quick and efficient.
  • Support on hand — you can reach out to us whenever you need to.
  • On-site service when necessary — when remote management isn’t enough, we come out.

With this combination, you have the assurance that your school’s screens will always be up to date, working and free of unnecessary admin.
